The sky was dramatic when I left work yesterday.

I wait for this sky every year, it's so distinctive to my eye. And though I look for it I am always caught off guard when it appears.

Nice picture!

We have been having sunrises and sunsets like that recently too.

They are so very brief. I work on the edge of town. When I left work it was spectacular, I took an iPhone shot at each stoplight, I was trying to get out of town completely so there would not be any obstructions. But in the 10 minutes or so it took me to get close to a field it was over with.

ooh...pretty sky. I like pictures of well-lit clouds. I agree with what you said about the sunsets and sunrises being so brief. I had the same experience the other day where the sun was setting and I was trying to drive to a spot on the edge of town that would have an unobstructed view. No luck...by the time I got to the spot, the clouds were no longer glowing.
