This is my boss, more or less. He's beefier, no gray hair, maybe five years younger. And he's never without the ever present coffee mug. When I saw the movie, I immediatley thought Stephen Lang was channeling my boss.
I just asked him if I could get the Mac Trackpad for a mouse device. Actually I didn't even finish the sentence. As soon as he knew what I was asking, he interrupted tersely and said "Just do it!". I kind of like his style.

Also: are there scars?
Re: Is he a knife-fighting mech driver also?
Date: 2010-11-11 08:55 pm (UTC)The answer would be - yes.
One example: Our office is on a highway. One morning recently, a drunk driver coming down the access road veered off the road at high speed and crashed into a car in our parking lot. Even worse, the car he hit was occupied. Inside the car was the boss's daughter-in-law and his new grand-baby. Thankfully no one was hurt. However the driver, as soon as he could get dislodged, backed up and drove off: a hit and run. But my boss was too quick for him, he was in his pickup and on his tail within seconds. He forced the driver off the road and said to him, "You left the scene there buddy." When the driver replied "What's it to you?" My boss said "My baby grandson was in that car, and you ARE coming back!". When he says something like this, you comply.
It must be distracting for you.
He's a sharp man and would be aware of any signals, including most non-verbal ones. My mind just doesn't go there. Make sense?
No scars that I've noticed, but it wouldn't surprise me if he had a couple.
