This week I packed up some stuffed animals for Kira's younger son. Her mother was there, visiting, and thanked me via text. This is a snip from our sms session.

if you truly follow your dreams and do the right thing, good things will come to you.. I believe this to be true too.

What a wonderful post! I love the piano. Your video, stirred up some fond memories. My father would play our piano many nights, in the other room, to lull me to sleep. He wasn't too bad at playing, even with 3 of his fingers half missing. I regret never taking, or continuing lessons as a kid. My late partner purchased an Ampico player piano, which I played endlessly. Actually the paper rolls play it, with full dynamic expression. Watching the ghosts play, the ivory's being tickled was awesome (especially when Rachmaninoff played!).

Thanks for your comment. I, too, believe it - but it's still a continuing struggle for me to implement.

My dad was a musician too - he played jazz on the tenor sax. He was quite excellent. I love those old piano rolls recorded by the greats - although I've never lived with a player piano. They are rather wonderful.

It's fun having a connection to them - they're really doing well out there.
