startled awake by hideous dreams.
other than updating LJ, the last thing i did in the day was watch the girl with the dragon tattoo. what an age we live in.
i didn't give it much thought, but in retrospect, it was quite lurid. i wish i could reverse the experience of having seen it.
i've sent out a series of emails over a period of months. they contain a list of people to be killed. the mechanics of who is on this list and who are the recipients is intricately related to elementary school memories. because of the passing of generations and the private nature of the relationships, the lists are seemingly random.
the hideous part of the dream is not any murders per se, but the unfolding of the detectives' logic. each sliver of evidence (i.p. addresses, etc.) eliminates one by one a group of people in a crowd. when there are only two or three left sitting, i suddenly can't distinguish between sitting in the select group, and the act of observing. the terror of being caught startles me awake.
